John B Dyer, conservationist, businessman and author of three colourful works on Africa is proud to announce the publication of “Gone Fishing” under the Ajubatus Publishing banner. Passionate about conservation and the need to preserve our natural wilderness, John has written numerous articles on environmental issues and was the founder of the Ajubatus Foundation – an organisation committed to wildlife research and environmental education. He is also a Trustee of the Sustainable Seas Trust and his passion for writing has ensured that key environmental issues are brought to the forefront of our attention. As the former Chairman of the Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, John was quick to write of his adventures “on safari” and this culminated in his first work – Ulusaba Tales, a collector’s edition coffee table book that received widespread acclaim. This was soon followed by “Ingilube” – an adventurous and oft times hilarious look at life of a young Zulu boy in the time of King Shaka. His third book, “Riders In The Night” offers readers a chilling insight into the Anglo Boer war and the horrors of Lord Kitchener’s policies towards the Boer Nation.  There is little doubt that John writes with passion, the spirit of Africa coursing through his veins and this latest work, Fishing Tales should have wide appeal. Not only does the book cover high seas fishing adventure, but explores the quite hilarious antics of the “corporate fishing safari”. His Co. author, Ted Horn has spent a lifetime fishing African seas and brings a wonderful element in the life of the enthused fisherman to the fore. This is complemented by John’s wonderful tales of mischief in camp during corporate trips to Sodwana Bay – stories packed with anecdotes and almost unbelievable Boy’s Own tales. John’s passion for the written word is by no means delimited to novels – under the Ajubatus banner, he was quick to acquire the Marula Gazette, a regional weekly newspaper concentrating on environmental news in the lowveld region of South Africa.
